How ORBIT handles your data: what is collected, what happens to an uploaded document, how long anything is kept, and what you can do about it.

The short version

This is a plain summary of the page for machines that do not run JavaScript. The document itself is the operative version — read it in full before relying on it.

• A readiness check never transmits your manuscript. It is parsed and analysed in your own browser.
• A formatting conversion sends the .docx over HTTPS, transforms it in memory, and sends it straight back. No copy is written to disk or kept.
• What is stored is the metadata around a job — template or journal, file name and size, timestamp, outcome and score — never the contents of a document.
• Account data is your Google or LinkedIn identity, your credit balance, and your job history. ORBIT runs no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking.
• You can export everything as JSON, or delete your account outright, from the dashboard without asking anyone.
